Last year, I replaced my starter with one from an LT1, since then, my battery has been rapidly draining. First, I'd have to boost it after a few days of not driving it, then it got to the point where I'd have to boost it even after shutting it off to get gas.

Any ideas? I've unplugged the fan delay relay and took one wire off the starter-- i had 5 wires running to the large post, i unhooked the orange wire and everything seems to be fine without it hooked up. It had a security system once, so I assume that's what that was fore.

I guess it may be the alternator, is there any way it would drain that fast that I'd need to boost it after a few minutes? Maybe a combination of a dead battery and weak alternator not recharging enough?

Got a new battery, so I guess I just have to see if it drains down to see if it's still there.
