Best Alky kit????

looking at getting an alky kit within the next few weeks and was wondering who makes the best one out there for the money. i've been looking at alkycontrols and liking it alot, but i also been checking out smc.

Do some reading on here..There are plenty of alkycontrol v. smc v. whomever type threads...You'll also get a million replies as to who's is better and why.. I personally went with Alkycontrol(and am very happy I did) and again if you do a search, you see why

Just installed Juilo's kit(alkycontrol) and my car loves it. Fast shipping, easy installation instructions, top quality parts, super customer service..what else do u need? Maybe a years free supply of methanol with the kit Razor?

Had one of the older (First design?) Smc kits. My family is from Western KY and that's where SMC is located, I really liked the kit, I was able to run 24# of boost, but wasn't able to turn timing up any higher than what I'd run with 91octane (19degrees). I managed a 12.2 with it and 91 octane. Then I found Razors (Julio) kit. It looked like a much better thought out design, and it was progressive. I called SMC to see about their newest kit (at the time) and it was progressive also. I ended up emailing smc a few questions with intent to buy, just because I was a past customer......He never responded:frown: . So, I ordered Razors kit. I upped the boost to 27#, and on a cool day I can get 23degress in 1st/2nd and 21degress in 3rd/4th. And as such have run an 11.9 with it and 91 octane, with more tuning, a decent prepped track, and a DA under 8k ft, I'm sure I could get an 11.5. The customer service was good before I bought the kit, and once I had bought a kit it was even better. Frankly, I'm glad SMC never responded .

I'll be buying Alkycontrol, I have the 'round bottle' from SMC. Its nice but not as good as Julio's kit. I've talked to Steve many times (owner of SMC) He's a nice guy to talk to, but one call to Julio seemed a lot better since it barely pertaining me buying the kit yet. Anyways, the Alkycontrol kit is a great set up, and i am buying very soon.

I can see this thread getting locked soon, since these threads always do.. Do a search though.

We take pride in what we do. We are proactive with alkyinjection as well. We race what we build and sell. I don't want to see this thread turn into a debate or bs. Do your research and I wish you the best with your car.

Umm...I hate to go against what this thread is trying to tell you so...... I wont Alkycontrol all the way. I like to be able to depend on people which is rare quality these days. Plus my car ran a good number this year and hoping for it to improve next season. The only problem is the driver at this point :biggrin:
