Look at my signature down below and see what you think. I will also be adding Champion ported heads and ported intake manifold. My 9x11 is a 3000 stall. This is a mostly street driven car, but I also want it to kick ass at the track. I don't mind a little sloppy of a cam but I dont want to be restarting it at red lights;) Also, if I still dont like my 009's, I might go to 55's. Thanks for your time:D

206-206 from weber racing . It would be hard to beat , good low end torque and pulls like a freight train on the big end .
A certain board member has gone 130.mph with 55lbs inj. 3200 stall conv , te-45 turbo and ported stock heads , a REAL good street /race cam

i agree with qwknuf6. that is the cam i have.

hey Lee dont ya know by now that you cam is backwards?

all the comp cam buick vendors say it wont work that way...glad ours dont work cause they sure run good...:D

Ditto, seems GM thought the dual pattern cam with more exhaust lift & duration was the way to go,, I do too.

An Isky 208/214? Interesting. Richard Iskenderian has been suggesting and selling a 214/208 (intake/exhaust) for several years now. I've had two or three.

I DON'T THINK THEY HAVE A WEBSITE HERE IS WEBER # 440-327-7702. I PAID $165 FOR THE 206-206 CAM.

I must say I like the Comp 212/212. I can't believe how hard this cam pulls. All the way through and keep pulling!!!:D

Mildly ported irons with big valves, TE-44, 009's, .030 over, Big neck stock I/C, 3" DP, PP, 340 hot wired, Mod D5 converter 3000 stall. etc.

This cam works very well with this set up.

I have a 200/200 in the GN. I like it also.

Yeah, I would keep it in there but I can hear either it or the lifters makin some racket, so its time to come out! Any more suggestions?

87 GN, 117K miles, TE44, 009's, Walbro 340 hotwired, Accufab reg., tiedown, Scanmaster, red a. volt booster, ATR headers, ATR 3" downpipe, ATR cold air, 160 stat, 2 3/4 exhaust,Magnecor 10mm, fresh paint, GNX wheels, h+r poly mount, powerplate, Bruce's Killer
Street Trans and 9x11 converter

I'd stick with the stocker. If you've got valve train problems that can't be quickly remedied, then go with a 206 or a 208 cam. The split, higher duration exhaust cams are an old way of thinking. Some people can still make 'em work OK, but split degrees rotation is ancient and the 206/206, 208/208, 212/212 are the popular choices today...with the 208/208 going 9's what else are you looking for???
My first choice would be to stick with the oem unit. If you must change...re above.

OK boys...bring it on...

 boy are you in the stone age for sure

well that 9 second car you are talking about when the best of 136 mph and was running 30-32# boost with gn-1 heads and car weighed around 3450#

mine weighed in at 3692# and went 127 mph with22-23# boost with stock valved heads that i did some minor port work too.

so what mph will i go with much less heads at 30# boost??

btw: both our cars were on 70 turbo's

I run a off the self comp 218/218 cam and I've gone 10.60's with it. There is another board member that has gone 9.96 with this cam @130+. I even drive my car on the street :D

Just my 02

Good luck

I posted this before but if you look at Supercharger/Turbo grinds they are like a 204/214. The stock cam is the same way too and most seem to like it. Try them all then report back. I think the difference is slim between all.
