best cam for my combo?

The differences are slim until you get into the higher rpm cams like the S2 set up. Jason C @ RJC uses a Comp 218/218 and we all know what ET's and mph he is running.
 
Lets break it down a little:


Two of the fastest stock block car on here are Geno and Jason. I don't have the exact details but....

-Geno went 9's@130+ MPH with a 208/208 cam, T-70, GN-1's, 30 PSI and a Fel-Pro. I don't know if he foot brakes or has a T-brake and don't know how much other work was done to the heads, intake, etc....
-Jason went 9's@130+ MPH one time with a 218/218, T-70, GN-1's, 30 PSI and a Fel-Pro. Jason uses a T-brake and I don't know what is done to the heads, intake, etc....
-Red's sucks in the take-off and traction department:D but did manage 127 MPH on iron heads, stock block, 204/214 cam, chip, 50's:eek: with basic port job heads off the foot brake.

Others have done well with this profile like Lee Thompson and BobbyBuick.

Probably every cam out has had some success with different people but the MPH figures are pretty decent.
 
Damn Turbos blowing air in seems to throw the cam profiles out the window , maybe we need to get rid of the Turbo's so we can see how the cams really work .

Geno was on footbrake and his heads were not really gutted they are port matched to 1200's the intake is pretty hogged to go to 1200 gaskets also.
and i know there in my buddy's spare bedroom ;)

Jason's car is very impressive also running 133 mph and alil heavier than Geno's car so actual hp was real close between the two cars.

now give me a few weeks to play with it and get up to 30# to match these guys and see what happens..:eek:

and i could always bolt Geno's old GN1's on just for fun but i think i can spit the crank out just fine without them..:eek:

i still havent restalled my 9-11 converter so the 60 ft wont be but so great even if i do launch it hard. 2800 stall with 70-1 turbo
(be working n that part soon but im on a 130 mph mission right now et's will be there if you have mph so not worried about that)
