best shift kit

the ones i know of are the:
trans go($109) heard some good things in 700R4 applications
B&M($55) can't go wrong for $55 right?
Art Carr($80) supposedly specializes in 200R4's but never heard anything about the shift kits.

I want a real firm shift with a good 1-2 chirp...this is in an 84 trans and i know in stock form the 1-2 is more sluggish than the 86-87 but i want it snappy and if the B&M will do that ill go with that if the trans go is worht the extra $$ ill go with that and if the art carr is the best ill go with that...what does everyone think.....feel free to mention anyone i missed as well.

Art Carr

I paid 65 bucks or so last spring for the Art Carr shift kit.

Turned my soft 1-2 shift into a neck snapper. Easily barks the tires now at part throttle. Made the rest of the shift nice and tight but not rough.

It was pretty simple to install, took several hours.

Very easy to follow directions.

I would say PTS. I have there kit and it was by far the easiest of all shift kits I've done and Bruce could probably tailor it to shift however you'd like.
And besides, if you have a problem or question while installing it you can call and talk to Bruce himself. Can B&M do that?
His website says $75?

I bought the mike kirtz version of the no yo yo transgo kit.
had it in my gn since 98 runs 11s with out any tranny problems
you can buy the kit for 29.00 the directions for his mods will cost you 59.00 if you buy from him.worth it IMHO. also might want to cotack chris @ ck trannys on the board .he really knows what he is doing and is great help

the 84 comes w/ a smaller servo.we sell a kit w/ a servo and all the necessary parts to make it work rite .if you are looking for BANG shifts at lo speed this kit is not 4 you.ours will not chirp unless you are above half throttle .this is the benchmark of a properly designed kit .servo ,boost valves,accumulator spring,valve body springs,gaskets ,filter and teck all included .www.ckperformance.com choose wisely.
