i did a search and no luck so you cant say i didnt try...im sure this ? has been asked b4 but i figured that since every other part on this car has to be exaclty precise that if i bought the "wrong" plugs it'd run like crap.....any ways i have always had good luck w/autolites.....whats everyones opinons?

for moderate boost levels(20# and under)i'd use either ac delco cr43ts or ngk ur45.gap at tight .035".

for alky/race gas and higher boost i'd go with ac delco cr42ts or ngk ur5.start at .035" and tighten up as necessary.

For race set up and better idle we have found the ngk ur5 gapped at .032 to work the best. I wasn't aware of a ngk ur45? I was under the impression they came single digit numbers only such as 4, 5, 6, 7 and so forth? Our cars seem to like a hotter plug to run better. Just what I have found personally.

you can get ngk's locally, just call around.

from what i can tell the ur45 is about the same as a 43ts.i've got them in my car right now with pump gas and alky(18º/24psi)and they're working pretty well gapped at .035"

from what i've gathered:

-ur5=cr42ts
-plug book says stock gn is ur4(44ts).
-ur45 is in between(43ts).

like i said,i gave em a shot and they're working good so far.

btw,i got my spare intake from mike mccoy the other day.let the porting begin:cool: .

I've been using 23's @ 32.

4 yrs.........I tried the AC's once and they seemed to foul faster...as we all know it's such a PITA to change them I went back to the Autolite's.

Yeah I'm lazy.

Napa sales the NGK I think on their web site if you don't have any of these around you. News abou the 43. I just know Grand Prix's running juice run the NGK UR7 and they were surprised I run the 5's. I think the autolites worked better then the AC when we ran these as well. Liked them better.... It's been 4 years since you changed your plugs, jez Chris that could be a 12 second pass right there. LOL

My brothers and I got some NGK UR5s through Advanced Auto Parts last year. They didnt have them in stock but were able to get them within a day, or two. You will need the actual part #. I dont remember it off hand right now, but I got it from a thread over in the Alky/Propane section. Do a search over there.
Oh yeah, the price was cheap too. It was in the $9-$10 range for 6 plugs.
