Best way to fit BIG tires out back??

Hi, I have my 82 Regal that I'm getting ready for the track. It has a 30" by 9" M/T slick on it now and that is the biggest that will fit on the car.

I was wondering if someone could tell me the best way to be able to fit a larger slick on these cars? I'm I going to back half the car, mini tubs, frame notching? I would like to have room for at least a 10" and possibly a 12" slick as car will be running in the 9's hopefully. Any suggestions and/or pics would be appreciated.

With a shorter tire and rolled fender lips you can fit a 10", but it will be tight. You might need air bags to keep the car off of them. Notching will allow the 30" x 10" to fit easily. If you want 12" to fit you will have to minitub. Bob Armstrong had his car tubbed and he only runs a 13" slick, but wanted room to grow if he felt the need. HTH
