Coming very close to cranking my car up after my turbo rebuild/upgrade. I have never primed a turbo before but from what I was told I should do this.

Remove spark plugs from cylinders, and attempt to start for a couple of 10 second rounds. This should prime the turbo with oil before actually starting.

Was I told wrong, is there a better way?

What you were told is not wrong...it will just take too long as the plugs on these cars are hard to pull on the passenger side.

Near your battery you will find an orange connector coming off of the positive terminal. Disconnect that connector and turn the car/crank over a few times as if you are trying to start it. The wire you disconnected goes to the cars computer and without it plugged in the car will only crank and not start. This will move all of the oil up into the engine and turbo.
