Just think of a fuel injected 490-500+ci BBB with a pair of twin 88mm GT47 turbos or a single 106mm turbo
I already saw one guy on turbomustangs.com that said he is building a 496ci fuel injected Bulldog based BBB w/ an intercooled F3-R Procharger and a 5-speed Liberty for his 10" tire '66 GS!!!
There are already some guys with running TA block V6 motors especially out on the west coast (of course Nick Micale being one of them)..... I'm sure at the Nats this year we'll probably see a couple more.... Originally I actually heard that TA was also going to be making an aluminum 455 block, but the plans are sort of on the back burner right now from what I read... Guess the cost to go forth with the project was too high at this point... I give credit to both TA and Bulldog for supporting the Buicks cause God knows we are a small community compared to the Chevy and Ford guys... You certainly will never hear of Dart or World Castings making a block for the Buicks!
You say a few have this block running,my time frame may be off but it feels like these blocks have been around for 2yrs now,,am I wrong ....
$14,000 for a runnning motor
Maybe if it was $5000 there would have been aleast 600 of the 12000 members with one..
I would be in line in a second......

You know what it costs to build a Stage motor? Not any cheaper unless you get some great deals and finding parts is not an easy task.... Some guys have way more than $5000 into a stock block motor.... Bottom line if you want 'cheap and fast' get a Mustang or build a SBC!
So to save the Legacy of the GN name,we are all going to have to build SBC motors for our cars,, since the few 8sec club guys are pushing us all out of the market with the high price motors
