bfg drags and black sticky buildup

running 275/60/15 bfg drags. after being at the track there appears to be a black sticky buildup on the tire. it can be scraped off and becomes tacky if warmed up. i suspect this is off the track or the tire itself. any ideas on whats going on?

I had same buildup on my BFG DR's after a run. When I was running for my best times I would jack the car up and clean both rear tires with a kitchen srub pad going across the tire.

I had a lot of problem at one track with picking up 1/8 and 1/4 inch size rocks when the tires were warm.
