i have an old hifonics zeus viii amplifier and it works good but it melts the ground wire and when i have both rcas plugged in it makes a hissing noise through my whole system until i unplug it if i plug one side of the jack into a y jack and plug it into the amp i hissing isnt as bad if you guys have any ideas what is wrong let me know i have a kicker x3i crossover and when the zeus is plugged up the noise comes through the crosover to my other amps

#1 - Reground your battery to the chassis. Get a piece of 4 gauge and hook it to the battery ground and screw it to the inner fender. this will stop your ground problem IF your power wire is up to snuff.

The hiss - who knows...possibly a bad or pinched RCA...alot of things can cause that problem.
