Been ripping my hair out with this trans for years. Over the last three years, I've spent over five grand with a well known shop here in Huntington Beach, only to have TEN badly slipping transmissions, and lots of other damage. When I called Len, he offered to rebuild my trans while I wait if needed. He even said that if I broke down along the way, he'd come pick me up with his truck and trailer. After deciding to bring the wife and make a weekend out of it, he hooked me up with where the best place to stay, the best rent a car waiting for me at his shop, and what to do while in town. My trans now shifts perfect, it's not clunky at all. And it does not leak. All for the very fair price that he had quoted me over the phone. I now see why so many people recomend him.:)

Thanks Len.

Len Freeman is the man!

Mike,

I'm glad you had a good experience with Len. He has done numerous transmissions for myself and the guy's I know in So. Cal with very favorable results. He's the most honest hard working transmission guy I know and has gone way out of his way for me and others on many occasions. I'm planning on having him do some work on my supercharged GTO trans later this year. I'm looking forward to seeing him and Lisa again soon.

Len has always gone above and beyond and has a heart of gold:cool:He has been doing Buick transmissions for a long time and is no 20 year old kid just learning about Buicks :(

I have talked to Len on several occasions by phone, PM, and / or E-mail and I feel certain that he will take care of my transmission needs when I can find the time to get the car up to him.

There is ton of people on this board that use his tranmission and have no issues:D Maybe its the way people deal with him or treat his staff. He MIGHT have one bad deal out of hundreds and people turn on the guy before hearing both side... Remember there is always 2 sides to ever story you read..Go to the other thread (if) you had bad dealing with him and put your 2 cents in there

By no means i have read enough that i WILL NEVER deal business with him.
It is doubtful that Len's shop will ever get to the point that he has to do business with somebody that does not want to do business with him.

Running both a 2004r and a 400 transmission from Len.Both transmission are fine and nothing but the best service. Thanks Len:)

I do not know any of the parties involved in the Len Freeman threads being posted here............

But shouldn't this get equal time as a sticky as the other thread has been,,,, out of fairness to Len as well?

If only there were an open forum where Len could post his side of the story for everyone to read...

Good fix...it yourself. Its pretty WEAK on your behalf that YOU wont even try to talk to Len himself and form your own opinion. I am by no means saying that the individuals here on the forum are out of line by saying they are upset with Len by his recent service, frankly I'd be too. I am also not defending Len either. I am only going to judge him off MY past experience, not others. I THINK for myself...try it, you may be surprised. SO in short, you must be the type that when everyone else jumps off a bridge, you will fallow.

Off my soap box.

I have a Len Freeman Trans in my car. Never once a problem. When my stock trans failed, he came to my house the same day, loaded up my car on his trailer, and took it out to Vegas. A week later, my car showed up back at my house. A+ service in the past!!! I would use him again.

I started this thread to let people know that Len Freeman was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to fix my problem trans, and that I highly recomend him. If anyone else has had the same experience, I'd like to hear it.

Happy spooling...

I've heard too many good stories from local friends (Spoofool2, Graza, Underboost, turbolou, the list goes on and on) about Len to ignore them.

My stock original trans with 110K miles is on the fritz now. See my post in the transmission section. That mean ol' Lou Czarnota V6 I had installed a couple months back beat the stew out of it.:D

Now I'm using strategery to convince the wife I need to go to Vegas for a day or two to visit the good Mr. Freeman.

Best I ever had

was my Freeman built 200R4. I just replaced it last year. I got 5 years out of it in a high 10 second car. It was a stock rebuild.
I lived in Reno and Len opened his shop on a Saturday for me. I took tth trans. down that Friday after work and stayed in a motel. We met the next morning and he did the trans. I got back to Reno late that night.
I beat the crap out of that thing for 5 years. It started to slip a little last October so I got a new one. THANKS LEN

I was plagued with transmission problem after problem until I met Len. I was first going the Tim Lee in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He subbed out my trans to a place called The Toy Shop. Well, $2,800 dollars later and 7 returned trips I went to California Performance Trans. "Art Carr". He told me that my trans was not a real GN trans but it wouldn't matter because all his good parts would make it a good trans. well, $3,800 later I still have a slipping trans. I went back to Art 6 times, every time he had the car for two weeks. He kept telling me it was the TV cable. You have no idea how pissed I was at this point. He said I'll keep working on it till it's right but you won't get your money back because I stand behind my work. I said I've been here 6 times and you can't get it right. I'm going to Len Freeman. I called Len told him my story. He said bring it up I'll open my shop for you Sat.. new core 1k salvaged built parts for Art. $2,300. I dropped the car off that Sat. at 7am and Len called at 12pm noon "It's Done" I was shocked. As I drove a way the car never felt so fast. everything was finally working together with no weak links. I put hundreds upon hundreds of runs on Lens trans from 12's-down to the 10's all 18psi transbrake launches with no issues at all. When I broke my block in half it took out the bellhousing on the trans. I called Len and asked him about a TH400. I told him what happened he said bring me your old trans and $1,000 and I'll build you a good TH400. Well the TH400 is perfect no problems here. I took the 3200 stall back to Art had him raise the stall to 3500 with a new snout for the TH400. He charged me $200. I'll be doing business with Len till the end.
