biggest turbo w/ stock converter

what is the biggest turbo you can run with a stock converter?

Most will say a TA49 or TA60.

is a te-60 the same as a ta-60? what would be the best converter to run with this turbo?

TE60 is the same size as the TA60. Only difference is the TA60 is stock appearing and has the stock style inlet bell, whereas the TE60 does not use the stock style inlet. Basically performance is the same between the two.

For a converter I'd look at a good quality converter such as the PTS 9/11 or the Vigilante in the 3k stall range. That should make you happy.

If you just drive on the street the 60 will work but if you race, good luck spooling with the stock convertor. A 49 will work better and be faster at the track.
