I installed the old school TE60 w/a .63 garrett exhaust housing on my car. It had the stock D-5 converter in it and I love it. Great spool-up. In my opinion if you have a stock converter in it I would stick with a turbo that has a .63 garrett housing if you plan to drive it on the street all the time. With the new ball bearing turbos I don't know how big you could go with the stock converter.
I did change my converter out about 1 month ago to a orange stripe. Didn't have to but the price was right and it spools up even better. Haven't been to the track yet but soon hopefully.
i dont want to touch the torque converter i want to go as fast as i can with stock stuff just a turbo and some injectors and maybe a cooler non b b turbos please thank you.
The GT6131 should be ok for low to mid 11's (with all the other complementing parts except converter) and should work OK with stock converter and a good boost controller...... but IMHO... I wouldn't go ANY bigger than that on a D5.....
