I just installed a few items on my 87 Buick Grand National:
1. 72pound fuel injectors
2. A precision plentium and throttle body (70mm)
3. RJC Power Plate
4. 3 1/2 in. MAF
5. Either MAF Translator or Translator plus (4mode buttons and two circular adjustment knobs)

A Buddy in Carolina cut the chip for the car and it's idling very rich with the two adjustment knobs @ 0 and the 4 modes-ON,ON,OFF,OFF... The car upon startup ran a series of error codes(8-10). The MAF is installed in the right direction... The translator didn't come w/ any instructions, because I bought it used. Prior to all this installation, I was running 50 pound injectors and a casper's chip, and the car ran fine w/ a t-66 turbo and champion aluminum heads. Any idea where should I go from here? Any help would certainly be apreciated!! If it would help I can get all the error codes, I'm just at a friend's house, so I don't have them handy.

The settings should be under the translator lid.
You can change the settings and see if it helps.
You could also go back to the reg MAF and see what happens (new chip?).

Thanks , I will try to reinstall the original MAF and see if that helps, can any one tell me if I have a translator or a translator plus? The box was used and the lid is blank? it has 4 mode levers and 2 round adjustment knobs, both presently at 0. I am kind of new to these Buicks and any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Since you are in VA,do your self a favor and look up Reds Hot Air on this board. He is a Buick mechanic.
