I bit the bullet and paid 150 for a new accumulator ball and now want to bleed my front brakes. I have searched all of the threads but am still a little confused. When doing the fronts, do i have to depress the proportioning valve? Also concerning fluid level in the master, should i expect level to go down after depressing the breaks to depressurize the system? This may sound stupid, but when do you top off master?

Level goes up in the reservoir after pumping the brakes 10 times key off.

I have bled them sucessfully (key off) with the plunger both in and in the normal position.

Top off the master as it goes down after you start bleeding the first rear brake.

Easiest with 2-3 people, one up front with fluid, one in the car pushing and releasing when told to, and you operating the bleeders.

Just my .02.
