Friend of mine has a blow off valve on the up pipe and the vacuum line from the blow off is tap into the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line is his a good idea, the car knocking when you get gas is this normal, also it has a hot wire kit on the side of the fender wall with two pumps in the tank and a hob switch and the relay is plug into the gray wire behind the alternator to work one of the pump's is this a good set up or has any one done it this way? any info would be great thanks.

Too many other "not so essential" places to pull vacuum from. I wouldn't tap into vacuum on the FPR, brakes (if so equipped), or the MAP Sensor.
Get your vacuum for the BOV somewhere else that's non-essential, like the EGR or heater controls or something.

Every joint in a line is an opportunity for a leak. I would definitely not want a vacuum leak around the FPR, even though a vacuum leak is a vacuum leak, no matter where it is.
