Hay is anybody using a blow off valve in their setup? What type do you recommend and how are they installed.

87 GN TE44, 340 Walbro pump, 42.5# injecters, adjustable fuel pressure regulater, adjustable boost regulater, 3 inch down pipe,

tial bov, works great, not very loud at all......very good investment for keeping life in my turbo

Hay Darkside, thanks for the info. I'l try tofind more info on Tial products. Is that your car in the photos?

Do a search in the turbo section, there's a couple of BOV threads in there. :)

I have a Tial Blow off valve to. I'm getting tired of sending my turbo off to get rebuilt and all it was is the copper thrust bearing
worn out. I'll see here shortly if it works;)

William what are your running your turbo in? Did you get that car running yet? If so I am anxious to see it.

Tial BOVs are known to be one of the best, if not THE best BOVs made. You can find them on ebay for $195, I bought mine with a silver finish from extremePSI (vendor out of Pennsylvania that sells on ebay). It makes perfectly logical sense that bovs will extend the life of the turbo by letting off all that back pressure when the thottlebody closes.. Anywho, there's my 2cents;)

I run a Greddy Type R which is the biggest of the Greddy BOV's. Its rated at a little over 30lbs. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

I am getting a Blitz SS BOV off a 12 second eclipse put onto my car this week, just in time for one last test drive before she goes into the garage.

I don't know exactly how much air the Tials can handle. I DO know that the 50mm they sell is one of the biggest and most capable available, period. It will handle anything a street driven car can dish out, that's for sure.
