Blown head gasket

havnt been on here for a while due to i now have 2 new cars and kinda left the monte to die.......well now its time to bring it back to life. anything that u guys know of i should look out for while i have the heads off?

yea port them while you have them off.

Port the heads, take the timing cover off and do the oiling mods. That's about it if you want to keep her stock, but if you really want to wake her up there's sooooo much more you can do.

Look for cracks and burn etches on the heads and block before putting them back on... If the heads or block have a dip where the gaskets burned through, you may need the have them re-surfaced. I blew both my head gaskets and just got done replacing them a few weeks ago Luckily they where in pretty good shape for the gaskets being burned trough I ended up putting better heads and headers on anyway.
