My GN burns oil after sitting for a day or two and it last for less than 30 seconds. Now I haven't driven this car in about 1 month (not reg yet)- just start it up now and then.

I've searched this board seeing others ask this same question and basically the answer is

1) valve seals
2) turbo seals
3) rings?

There is a local performace shop that specializes in muscle cars, especially GNs. He has replaced these heads with alum port heads and new valves. The turbo (te-63) has under 2000 miles and the car has 40kmiles.

When I spoke to him, he said that it's not a problem and these cars usually smoke like this- they all do.

Is this right? Should I be worried? What risks do I have with just leaving it the way it is? Is it because I just don't drive it?

Thanks,

If it helps, my car does not smoke at all on start-up. It sounds like valve seals to me.

Blue smoke is not normal, take a look at the valve seals. Turbos smoke all the time when bad, and more under boost
