Installed Bob Bailey 2 step 2 years ago was working fine. Changed over to type 2 ignition last summer! Went to use 2 step at set rpm it kills ignition. Will 2 step not work with type 2 ignition?

simple answer ..NO
type 2 ignition only uses one power feed which powers the coil packs and the module and cant be seperated
, the type 1 has 2 power feeds on the P and M pins ..one for coil pak and one for ignition module . the baily 2step cuts off the coil leaving the module powered so it doesnt lose its place for ignition event , killing the power to the type 2 the module has to wait for the cam sensor to locate the correct cyl to fire

Thanks Paul. I'll switch back

I successfully used the Bob Bailey 2 step with the type 2 ignition system with no issues. Plug and play and worked fine.
