Looking for some info from the body pro's.

Replacing the passengers rear quarter on a friends car.
J body platform. (Sunfire) She had a little mishap.

How is the best way to join the body panel in the C-pllar?

I crimp a flange on the exterior.

Use flange pliers to get a flush 1/2 inch overlap on the exterior and butt-weld the seems and jambs. You could try to butt-weld the entire thing, if you feel lucky. Just keep the heat down. The lap welding allows for about 3/8 of an inch error.
