I'm seeing up to 3psi more boost in the cool mornings than on the warmer drive home in the afternoon.
I know that cooler outside temps can increase boost levels, but mine seems to fluctuate more from morning/afternoon ever since I eliminated the stock wastegate solenoid and went to a inline spring/ball controller.
I don't remember any more than ~1psi variation before. Is a spring/ball controller more sensitive to ambient temp changes? Does the factory ECU and solenoid somehow correct for ambient changes?
thanks,
