ok, i had my origional tranny rebuilt and a new convertor put in, and the boost gauges were working fine before i had my origional problem, but then i got a temp tranny to drive the car to the place, he rebuilt tranny and put new convertor in, and now i know i'm getting boost :D but neither one of my 2 boost gauges are working, i have the stock one still working and the VDO boost gauge from kirbans, and neither one is working.... guys i dunno what to look for, i'm not very good with this stuph

The guy who rebuilt the tranny may have accidentally knocked the vacuum line from the wastegate hose to your gauges off. Trace the hose running from your wastegate to your boost gauge and see if it fell off somewhere. That can be the only problem, I would think. If your gauge reads vacuum as well as boost then it should be easy to tell if your line is off. It would just stay at 0. If you don't have one that reads vacuum, then either trace your hoses or find a gauge that does read vacuum.

possible line goes in rear of eng he smashed them between block and case

Like Gn4u2c said. There is a small plastic black line that runs behind the manifold. Most likely it's pinched at the dip stick tube bolt hole area. If that's the case, just trim off the damaged area and use a small vacumm hose as a patch. Brian

Wastegate

ok, i know what a wastegate does, i know how it works, but i have no clue where the hell it is... can one of you guys help me here?

It's the big ole thing hanging from the bottom of your turbo. It has a hose running from it that connects to a "y" connector that has a hose running to your wastegate solenoid and one that runs back to your compresser housing. The solenoid is the little black sensor that sits on your pass. side valve cover and has wires running from it. Hope this helps.
