I recently became part of the TB community with the purchase of a 1984 GN. I drove the car for a day or two and my boost gauge just stoped working, what could be the problem and how can i fix this?

the stock boost gauges on these cars aren't much more then toys quite frankly, best off getting an aftermarket gauge. Could be a few things, I'd check likes to the MAP sensor, the gauge cluster connections and work from there, that is if you even want to bother if/when you get another gauge.

I lost my boost gage after I had the uppipe replaced on my 85GN. The problem was a unconnected vacum line around the passenger side heater blower motor. This line reconnects into the intake manidold below the turbo thurbobody. Check them all out. Brad

just like they mentioned get urself an aftermarket boost gauge n then ull really see what kinda boost ur makin its not a hard setup ez to install

gauge

auto meter makes a good complete gauge, and they are made in this country

yea go wit autometer call up summit for thier catalog they have different kinds but just any autometer boost gauge will do and while ur ordering i would also recommned the copper fittings and line they sell in their, for gauges got mine and no problems the wot crack or anything will give u accurate boost reading s

Don't forget to get one that reads to 30psi and not 25. It seems like a lot of boost now but once you start modding and the bug gets you, you'll be pegging the 25psi guage.

Might want to make sure no vacuum lines have blown off just so you won't have a vacuum leak. Only other thing to check under the hood is the wires to the MAP sensor.
