i have a boost/vacum gauge installed in my 84 t-type and when its idleing it reads 20 on the vacum side and when im driving and the car is in full boost it only reads up to 5 or less on the boost. i have the gauge hooked up to the vacum line that goes to the fuel regulator. is that the right place to hook it to? or am i not getting full boost from turbo?

try swapping the gage to verify it is working first

if its good check for major boost leaks

check for exhaust cracks or leaks

is the turbo new or old?

and just verify your boost is set higher than 5

The boost test port on the intake...

There is a boost test port on the intake... use it.

It has a plug blocking it... Forgive me on location memory but it is upfront on the intake. This is more accurate of a location, and why potentially impact the operation of the fuel pressure regulator?
