Boost Problem

Hello gentleman, im new to the turbo buick world, i got a 83' t-type i picked up last winter, needs a lot of work, but i did drive it home. I know that it needs a tune up, but i dont think the turbo is even spooling, is it common to be able to hear it spool? Also is there a certain place were i should hook my boost gauge up too? Thanks guys...

you hook the boost gauge to the foot of the turbo.

Do you boost lights in the dash work? If so, then T into the line that goes to them. The switch is near the crusie control unit.

Yes you can hear the turbo on the Carb/turbo systems, even though a stock muffler. It's not as prominent sounding as the later turbo's
