boost question

I have a te 44 turbo with rjc boost controller I can only get 20lbs of boost is that all tis turbo will do or is somethingelse wrong.

Wastegate puck leaking....possibly due to hole being ported for boost creep.

Could be an exhaust leak before the turbo bad controller. Bad Gate spring

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me check the cross pipe. If you think its the waste gate then disconnect it excelerate but be careful you don't over boost.

I have a te-44 & its made 30 lbs on a really cold day so yes sir its capable!

I have checked for exhaust leaks cant find any would a really small one do it.doesnt the rjc controller keep it closed until set boost is reached if I disconnect it do I tie the puck closed. thank everyone for the help

No dont close it but be careful u dont over boost!!
