Don/t have the # off the Bosch pump in front of me. Believe it is what we call a 204. If I go to a discount auto store, they are going to ask what vehicle it came off of. Does anyone know what make and model? An educated guess would be OK. Thanks

I have heard that one source for an external pump are the Ford trucks, early 90s, with the EFI 302s. I have no clue if this is a Bosch pump. Seems like the OEM applications for Bosch are the German cars: BMWs, VW, Porsche, etc. Sorry if this isn't much help...

Don't know the original application but call Ramchargers and maybe Precision and see if they still have one laying on the shelf - probably get a decent price just so they can move it. Also, there have been a few used ones advertised in the parts for sale forum over the last year. Might email those guys if a used one would do.

Hey Lee, just out of curiosity why don't you go with a walbro? walbro also makes an inline version of their 255hp pump and I'm sure it's cheaper than the bosch. Also a while ago I did some searching and found a couple of sites that had done some testing and all said the walbro flowed a few more (not much but definetely more) gph than the bosch.

just my .02 worth

I have one that I will sell cheap. Works perfect. Let me know if you are interested. $30 shipped.

It's me who needs the pump. I run an internal Armstrong pump and bring on the bosch pump with a hobbs switch. Well my bosch pump started failing yesterday(would only pump about 20 psi) and I was looking for another one. This is what I found out. The Bosch 204 came in Volkswagon from 77 thry 88 and Audi's 77 thru 86. You can buy these retail for 80.00$. A buddy of mine got one thru Carquest for 110.00 and I'll have it Friday....I hope this will help people in the future who are looking for external pumps. 110.00$ sure beats the hell out of paying 250.oo or more for an Areomotive or Walbro stand alone pump, and since I getting the same pump again, I don't have to make any plumbing changes. It will drop right in where I had the other one...Thanks for the replys....Dwayne Thompson

Bosch is everywhere, my '01 Dodge Neon has a bunch of Bosch components...

Haven't checked...probably doesn't have anything that powerful on it since its a NA 4-cylinder.. Just wanted to point out that Bosch is a lot more common than just european imports... Now that i've got the question in my head tho I'm going to check.
