Anyone can come in the pits with a standard entrance ticket.
A pitpass allows you to bring your car in.

What would be the benefit to having your car in it, I am driving my car down. Sorry for all the questions, its my first time going.

Less walking to and from your car if your buying stuff and the such

I would think that if you are driving your car then a pit pass might help make the car a little safer
I think the racers are more trustworthy. I remember reading that someone had something stolen from their car in the normal parking lot.

No offense, but for $25 I will walk to my car...Over the years we have had no issues parking on the hill. If someone wants to break a window to get a camera or something, thats life I guess. That can happen anywhere but I have personally never heard of it happening there.

The walk isn't that bad, its the leaving that sucks one way out for all those cars. Best to hang out in the grass for awhile. What are the dates for the nationals? Hopefully I will have mine ready.

I tried to buy one last year, and the GSCA "officials" wouldn't sell one to a spectator. They said you have to be racing, which also means you have to be a GSCA member. Just my experience.

Is it true you have to be a gsca member to race, if so I better join soon:eek:

You do not need to be a member to race. On the early registation form there is a place for a non member fee, here you will then be assigned a temp number to race, no biggie. It costs 30 more if your a non member

Well after my fiasco last year, you have to pay the Registration Fee in order to buy the Pit Pass. So in order to park your car in the pits, you will be paying $55 or $75 after March 15.

Are you absolutely sure?? They've never let non members race before, not without paying a year's membership dues up front, then the additional racing fees.

Can't pull up the registration form to even look at it. (url not found error).

I had heard this will be the first year no reg is required.
As far as pit pass,I think they as well as I like to keep
the spectator cars out of the pits anyway.
Just more people driving around and less room for racers to
park their cars and pit vehicles.
Right at the tower this is a bridge to crossover right into the pits anyway. So it is not a far walk.

That's what they said, but unfortunate for them we parked on the other side and drove the golf cart over. The money they wanted for the pit pass went toward the golf cart rental.

They have golf cart rental? Cool:biggrin:that way I won't have to lug my big arse around all day!

110 sure. It says that your GSCA number will be your car number and if yur a non member it will be your temp GSCA number supplied to ya. Try this link,

Let me know if you agree with that assumption
