Just Wondering if any one has any experiance with the TC made EZ kit. I was going to buy the bradied kit for my Holley but their statement of "control shift timing and feel" is making me hesitate.

It is my understanding that you DO NOT adjust the cable to control the shift feel. Or can you to a point?

Also their kit replaces a spring in the valve body so maybe that changes what you can control with the kit

Have you read this TV Article Part 1, 2 & 3?

The TV cable is not supposed to be used to adjust shift timing or feel. It should be set to the correct position and left alone. It's either right or wrong.

I used that cable in my LS1 2004r conversion and it worked out well. It allowes very fine adjustments being threaded , and it was long enough to reach the throttle body.

I disagree.

First of all, when BTO gives you a TV plunger spring that is 1/4" longer than stock, the TV valve will be bottomed out WAY before WOT, and with the cable adjusted "correctly" everything from idle up will be late, harsh, etc. It's like the throttle is at 30% when the car is idling. Too much TV pressure and you will see 2nd gear starts on the 200-4R.

Almost any performance rebuilt 200-4R will need the TV cable backed off slightly from the "correct" setting.

It's not so much using it to adjust the shift pattern, etc, just to get the proper pressures at the proper throttle openings.

If you have over 90 psi at idle, you are likely going to have issues.

Wait so are you saying that the BTO TV spring/tv kit is no good? Or if its adjusted right it works fine?

Jakeshoe is correct,
I didn't mean to say you don't use the TV cable for any adjustment. BowTie uses the pressure method for TV setup which is the correct way. When you buy their kit they send you the pressure requirements and after you set it up they will look over your readings. Like Jake says you don't want too much pressure at idle.

Ahh, I see.

Another question, so if you have it adjusted correctly according to the pressure, and you mark it the position of the cable (say on the threads with the braided kit) and you do a change to the engine (like rocker swap, or even cam swap or even pull the carburetor off) or change the rear grear. Will you have to setup the cable again and do the pressure thing? Or can you set it back exactly where it was.

Should bolt back in place as long as the cable hasn't stretched and bracket is in exact same location.
