I'm about five years into a semi restoration of my 87 GN, while removing the engine a while back I noticed I had a BQ trans and not the correct BRF. I also took note to a Remanufactured GM transmission sticker on the bell housing. Don't know how or why this trans is in here. My question- is there anyway to confirm this is a GM reman? I'm assuming not really but I figure did give it a go. Also does this mean it may have been built with hardened parts, if so is there any easy way to tell?
