Brake Failure

I recently had my motor rebuilt in my 1987 GN (.020" off cylinders, .010" off heads, upgraded cam, new parts...). I took my car out for a test drive. The brakes worked for about 1/2 mile and then the pedal got really stiff and I had no brakes! Luckily I was only a short distance from home. Prior to the rebuild, the brakes worked fine.

What should I investigate (powermaster? pressure switch...) as the cause? Do I need to add a booster or change out some other parts? Any way to diagnose?

Any help provided would be great! I am anxious to drive the car!

When that happened to me it was the PM motor that locked up providing no pressure to the system. Got new PM Assy.

Check all the fuses. Does the PM motor run? Brake light on dash come on?

Probably the accumulator. They don't like to sit. Even so, run some diagnostics on the PM and you will find your problem.
