Anyone have one for rent/borrow?

I'm having a tough time breaking the hose nut free on the front passenger side and will probably end up replacing the nut.........I haven't even tried the other side yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Double flaring a brake line because of its small diameter can be tricky, I would practice on a sample piece before attempting the real thing. Have you tried using a little heat on the part or soaking it with WD-40 or some chemical that dissolves rust Using a flare nut wrench to make sure it doesn't strip.Try going clockwise slightly first then try loosening it. Good luck with that.

There was NO rust on the nut.....in fact they are both pink/purple in color and are just wicked tight from the factory.Clean as could be actually...

I did try the heat/WD40 combo and the nut is just not budging.... It's starting to show signs of rounding-off due to my angry diligence...

Then the only thing left is vice grips to break it loose & as long as there is anything left to the nut. You may be able to reinstall it even though it's not exactly pretty. This would be a mechanics call on what to do at that point. Will this car make it to Lake Forest, I can get it off for you.

Are they any good? I haven't had good luck with their tools in the past, especially tools of this nature. I'll look at what they have and see.

Thanks.

I dunno, never used them because I have my own. But I could give you the number to my Cornwell guy who lives in Santee (about 10 min from you). Hes got the best prices on good quality tools!

angry dilligence....is that a code word for mongo strength, Eric? lol, i have the same problem sometimes.
