I had the brake light come on the other day .... It still has the powermaster brake unit btw.... I rasied the hood and looked it over felt of the motor etc.... wiggled the plugs on the motor and the grey switch on top and tapped on the switch. Nothing felt warm or loose and when I looked the light had went off.... I guess I'll watch for it to come back.... I have replaced 2 electrical switches already so I suspected a faulter alarm switch... I figure the system pumps up pressure and if the pressure is low you get an alarm .... The brakes felt fine through it all as well.

It came on again and went back off after pulling out of the driveway brakes worked normal and light never came back on... Drove it twice since without seeing the light... what's up ?

in my experience with the brake light it was the accumulator ball on the side of it going bad. i guess it slowly lost pressure so when i touched the brake pedal sometimes it would come on and then it got a little more frequent. what u can try that worked for me was to stab the brake pedal a few times to see if the light is triggered by it.
