A few days ago, a buddy of mine noticed that my brake lights weren't working. So, I checked the fuse and it was blown. Replaced the fuse, tapped the pedal, and the new fuse blew instantly.

I checked all of the wiring from the brake light switch all the way back to the bulbs, and everything looks good. I talked to a buddy of mine who runs a performance shop, and he asked a few questions about the cruise control and turn signals, both of which work perfectly, as do the taillights. He thinks this eliminates any wiring issues in the column.

Any idea what this could be? My buddy thinks it may be the brake light switch on the pedal, but I'm not a fan of just buying parts on a guess.

Anyone have opinions on this?

Do you know if the bulbs are good? (brake lite filament) Try replacing them. Perhaps it's the switch that opens when you push the brake pedal. Just suggestions.
