I have both an 85 NA 3.8 DIstributor ( and a 79/80 Turbo 3.8 (vacuum advanced) Distributor. available to me on my Hybrid build. Wiring (4 wires) out of the Turbo distributor was cut. I have the interior mounted TCC box from the 80 Monte Turbo donor and the wiring from the control box out to the distributor as well as the Knock sensor pigtail. I pulled this engine in 1992/3? & disassembled this engine circa 1994/5ish.
We've mounted it into my son's 88 Ford Ranger STX 4x4. This harness has more wiring than i remembered and more than the schematic shows in the Monte (Turbo) manual. The wiring harness has 5 wires to the distributor hookup (Green, Bluw w/black stripe, Black-ground in the center, Light Brown, Blue/white stripe) as well as a vacuum line, 10 wires into the TCC









box (Light Brown, Red- power from fuse box, Blue/White stripe & solid Grey across one side and Black/White Stripe, Blue/Black Stripe, Black, Bright Green, Blue, Grey/White Stripe) AND a few "extra" wires/connectors my brain doesn't remember from 30 years ago.
