WEll last night when i was driving home my brake light came on......i was about 2 mintues away from home which i think is good. When i pulled in and parked my brakes crapped out on me.....what happened was they went totally stiff all of a sudden! To stop i had to really push hard down on the brake pedal which just wouldnt move.....Fluids are all topped up and noleaks of visible problems..... IS it my maser Cylinder???? I need some feedback on what the problem is and about how much it is going to fix it.... Please help! Thanks.

its probablly either the accumulator ball on the powermaster or the motor for the brake system took a dump. you can get the whole system at autozone for a couple hundred bucks and hope it never does it again or you can switch over to vacuum brakes and know it will never happen again. also, vacuum is the cheaper route to go.:D

Thanks for the feedback! Can someone confirm this? Is the car safe say to drive 2 blocks to the garage??? Thanks.

you can drive it, just take it easy and be ready to use your weight to stop. good luck and be careful.:D

I confirm.. :D
Accumulator ball: big, black ball on the side of the MC is a typical problem..

ks:cool:

Well thxs for the help! :D

Now what is the process involved in changing the accumulator ball? Easy job? How much do they go for? GM dealer a good place to pick one up?

Thxs for all the help so far.:D

Gm dealer way expensive and they may not carry it, i tried getting it from GMpartsdirect.com for $98.00 just to have them send me an email a week later telling me they were out of stock and to check with them later in about a month, just get one from Kirbanperformance.com $158.00 including shipping and be done with it..

Last time I looked on ebay they were going cheaper than that. I have 2 spairs, but once they are done if it is going to cost me $158 I will just convert to vaccume. And never have to worry about it again.
