Brake upgrade?

I have a 1999 gs and I want to do front and rear brake upgrades on it. Can anyone give me any info, on what kinda of cars I can get parts off of. Also if I upgrade both front and rear will the system produce enough pressure to stop the car?

F-body brakes are a popular upgrade for the W-body cars. You can swap over the rotors and calipers, and get a shim to use the f-body banjo bolt I believe, or tap the caliper bracket for the f-body bolt. You can also swap the brakes from like a 2006 Impala I believe. Both instances use a larger 12" rotor so they have more stopping power. If you look on some of the pontiac GTP forums, there's write ups on how to do the swap.
