BRF tranny filter and gasket

I went to the local AutoZone today and attempted to get a filter and gasket for the tranny. They don't stock it.

Is this an order item or did I just go to the wrong AutoZone?

That filter & pan gasket are common items.

Let me guess...their computer (& the counter guy) doesn't know what a Grand National is right? AutoZone

Tell them you have a Buick Regal with the 231 turbo engine. If that doesn't help, go to NAPA.

They looked it up under a 87 Buick Regal 231 Vin 7 3.8L V6 Turbo.

Not listed.

I guess I'll try NAPA.

Here's my Autozone experience: Asked for a 200R4 filter kit with CORK gasket for '87 Buick Regal 3.8L turbo. They had none listed. Asked for same kit to fit '87 MCSS with 4 speed OD transmission and recieved part #TF-400. Oddly enough, when I got it ready to install, the pan would not fit without crushing the filter against the VB. I had the trans upside down on an engine stand at the time, so I feel pretty confident things were as they needed to be. The old filter (Pro-King FK-140) was physically identical to the new one except for filter material. I ended up using the FK-140 element with the cork gasket... Still haven't got a clue as to why the 'zone's 200R4 filter didn't fit.
