I am swapping a GN rear with 3.42 gears into my father's Monte within the next few weeks as we progress with the turbo 6 conversion. The original rear had 3.73's.
You told me some months back that the stock Monte trans would be good to use with the minor upgrades you told me to do to it.
That is leaving the Monte valve body in there. Now my question is how do I lower the shift points AND make the speedometer read correctly? I have several BRF governors laying around. Could I just use one of them to correct the shift points and speedo or will I have problems?
