I just picked up my new tranny and billet converter from the docks today and installed it in the car. What an AWESOME piece!!!! I haven't started the car yet (due to damn CAS not sending me ALL the parts to my sheetmetal intake), but it looks just awesome, and I can't wait to get it going.

Bruce, how many quarts of tranny fluid do you normally use to fill the tranny with your deep pan? I've put in 12 quarts so far and got just about 1 quart above full. I'm going to add about 3 more quarts for the converter and cooler lines prior to startup.

Bruce,
I almost forgot, and this is probably a really stupid question, but what is the little bottle with the nipples out of it for? I assume it has something to do with bleeding the tranny fluid or something.

Thanks,
Derrick

Derrick....

You should put in about 2 gallons to start. Rest of trans has fluid, since we run and test, No need put any in TC. It will fill instantly as you start it. You will only need about 8-10 now as it is a top off. I suggest you put no more in till you start it. At that point, Add fluid in park and run through gears at idle and ck again.( On jackstands) No need to run high level on stick. Just put it to the normal full mark. The bottle with the nipple is a vent bottle. Install it in the frame rail being careful to leave the little green vent cap loose, so that it can vent. The hose attached to the trans goes into this. And, mount horizontal with vent stem up. Complete system empty holds about 16 or so quarts now. But we tested trans so I would think maybe 10-12 max. But who knows only the stick will tell. If you put too much in before you fire and do not have the overflow bottle hooked up, you will have an ATF mess. So , leave it alone till you fire it off from here. AND, DO NOT FORGET TO ADJUST TV CABLE BEFORE YOU SET CAR ON GROUND!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck :)
