Will it work right?

I run 25psi all the time. Can't really adjust any lower with this actuator. I want to run 27-28 in 1st and 2nd gear and scale down to 25 in 3rd.

From my understanding of the controller if I install it with my current actuator and leave the knob down low I'll keep my 25psi, BUT I won't be able to scale down because it scales a % of the Knob.

Is this correct?

I just wanna make sure it will work before I buy it. I really don't want to put a stock actuator back on. Or is that the only way to do it Right.

Also, do I have to run 2 solenoids to do what I mentioned above?

Something is wrong most likely if you can't run less than 25 psi. with the typical HD actuator which should be about 18psi. minimum boost set loosely but still functioning properly.

I believe someone made a super HD actuator however, not quite sure what spring was in that one.

I believe the knob on the back of the bstc that controls scaling can reduce up to 50% of the front knobs setting so you shouldn't have any trouble with it scaling the boost back in 3rd gear even if the front knob was set low.

I need two solenoids and the bstc up high to run 24 to 27 psi. with my HD actuator at LVD's altitude in NY.

I agree with Salvage, there must be something wrong if you can't get below 25#, even with a HD actuator.
I run a HD actuator, and with the rod set correctly, it's lowest boost is around 15 or so.
With that said, and the adjustment as above, I keep the BstC adjustment knob a little over half to get 21# of boost in 1st and 2nd, and scale it back to 18 in 3rd and 4th.
If I run both solenoids hooked up my boost is a solid 21# with the knob turned almost all the way down.

Well I told Limit Engineering that I would be running 25psi all the time since I had the alky. To be honest I had a TA60 that I ordered with a HD actuator about 3 years ago. I had a bracket made for the TE61 and put it on it, and the boost would go to about 18psi. But the one they sent has a WHOLE lot heavier spring. I mean I'm not that much of a wus, but I can barely pull it when I adjust it.

Then in that case, my advice would be to get a HD actuator with a lighter spring. If you want to run the BstC you wont need anything that crazy. I believe mine came with a 14-15# spring which is perfect. Running one solenoid, I have a boost range of 15 (lowest) to 22 (highest) with the BstC, and when hooking boost solenoids up (for racing), It will adjust from 15-16 (lowest) up to just over 27 (highest). And if I need more I can shorten the rod some more (but why mess with that. The reason I got the BstC was so I wouldn't have to mess with the rod anymore).

And, IMHO, if you're going to continually run THAT MUCH BOOST (25) with alky only, then good luck. You may very well never have a problem, but it's too much boost, running nothing more than alky for knock control. Nothing can reliably replace octane.
