Is there any information about it for this year. From my understanding it is usually held in October in Oklahoma? Is it a bracket race?

Thanks

Zac

Checkout www.okbuicks.com for info.

It is a heads up race.

For example if you had 10 Fords and 10 Buicks, they'll take your fastest Time Trial (which there are plenty to be had) and line you up 1 through 10 and line up the Fords the same way.

10 vs 10
9 vs 9

and so on.
If there is a odd # say 110 Fords and 100 Buicks then the slowest 10 Fords will not have an elimination run.
They'll start with the slowest down to the fastest.

Each win is 1 point for that team.

last year yall got us. we need to bring a litle more to the table this time.

just getting started a little early this year, maybe this will give me incentive to get my car out of the 13's:o

Maybe this year I will blow off the dust on my old 85 and run some 10's for fun.
Could be fun.
Jeff (forgotten but not dead)

I'll be there to punish some buicks......

I ran a 9.09 @ 152 last year with my blower.... and now I've switched over to turbocharged power!

I've got a PT-88 4 bolt for whoever wants some!

maybe you should get paired up with Billy Duke(87 GN). He has a single turbo 6cylinder that runs low-mid 9's i believe. and i think he has a PT-101 turbo. maybe he will run better this year.

I know him. Nice guy. I see him out at the local tracks helping the big dog turbo mustangs out.

I seem to remember that he had a PT-91, but who knows... it was big, whatever it was.

Bill has a 91gtb now and hoping to go mid 5's next weekend at the races in Redline.

Now THAT would be a good race!

Do you know Tom Malouf?
He has a '91 blue Mustang with a 91.
We will be at Redline Sarurday for the Mustang shootout. He should be running 5.5 or faster.

Is it a light blue color? Cobra rear wing? I think I've seen him around.

If I remember right it's a Klodner built turbo kit and he has a speedworks sticker on it.

Every time I've seen that car it's been all over the track. If it ever really hooks up it'll haul some ass!

No,
His is dark blue, 347 cid with a 91mm turbo. No stupid big wing runs true 10.5 and looks pretty much stock when the hood is closed. Goes straight as an arrow most of the time. Bill Duke, Josh Lindsey and I work on this car a whole lot, Just trying to get all the bugs out of it but getting there.
Maybe we will have it 5:30's or so.
Rick

That's a bit faster than me right now... fastest I've been has been 5.58 @ 127.3 blowing through the converter (200 rpm drop on the shift). Converter is getting fixed right now as I trashed the turbine and the stator...

I'm hoping to go a little faster when I get it back and turn the boost up... The 5.58 was on 24 psi.

Maybe I can line up with him before it's all said and done, although I think 5.30's with this turbo is pushing it.
