Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me why Thunder Valley raceway web site states that at 11.99 et you need a rollbar, unless NHRA has changed the rollbar rule it should be 11.49..........anyone had any experience with this problem up there? I tried calling up there but all I got their recording.

It was 11.49 last year. I'm sure it's probably old info or a type o. I would bet old info...

Thanks Guy's for the replies. I didn't want to tow 3 hours for them to tell me to slow it down unless it is for going faster than 11.49. I did run 7.20 at NorthStar Dragway the other night, at the Motorplex in September it ran 7.51 @1/8 on a 11.79 run. So if they tell me to slow down I'll be very happy!!!!

they haven't ever said a thing to me. I kinda goof off and go for mph a few runs to make sure its making good power, then make a few 1/8th mile passes to work on the 60 ft and then make one good run for my qualifying. And of course all out in the finals. Nobody has ever said a thing

I plan on doing the same thing this year, except I am not planning on making one good run for qualifying. I am going to try to get matched up with a car that I have covered by 2 or 3 seconds :biggrin:

yea, 11.49 last time i checked for a bar.......they will hate me during finals when i go balls out, i only have a 8pt. and i think it's only good to a 9.99

They never said a word to me when I ran an 11.96. That was a few years ago though.
