I have a friend that wants to get into NOS, he has a non-turboed car, V8. What all is needed to build an engine to take NOS? Start with the fuel system and also rebuild the bottom end, what else? Thanks for any help?

Depends on a lot of factors..how big a shot, kind of motor, how long the spray button is intended to be held down...

Lots of variables..easiest is ..lets say the motor should make 400 HP on NOS..then build the bottom end to handle 400 HP..and be able to deliver enough fuel to handle 400 HP..make sense..

400 HP Honda is way different than a 400 HP Big Block Chevy motor.

There are a couple of things on you're webpage that I think differently on like single versus a dedicated second system. At a 100-175 hp shot a good external aftermarket electric pump should be able to keep up with the carb and nitrous if the proper fuel line and regulator is used.Anything above that HP would require a second one.Do you agree??

Also I didn't see anything about a fuel pressure switch to shut off the nitrous in case of a fuel pressure drop.Did I miss it or don't you believe in one?? Thank's and great tech page. :)
