Sometimes, when the GN is good and warmed up, I will put it in reverse and I hear the whistle of the turbo and notice the rpm's are up more than necessary (~1500+). I checked the SM2 and it shows the LV8 value in the 80's! Any ideas why the engine would be working against a load in reverse gear, and only when the car is warmed up from driving around?

Only guess I have at the moment is the drum brakes might be dragging on the drums when in reverse...but I am not sure why this would only show up in reverse?

Help!

well, i build boost in reverse sometimes. once like, 11 psi. it does seem to spool quicker and boost more in reverse than any forward gear for some reason, like yours. when i was ogin backwards under boost, it sure is an odd feeling to be pushed OUT of your seat, not set back in your seat like usual. then braking doesnt work to well either, thsoe drums dont work like the disks. disks skid, drums slow down poorly. i wouldnt suggest trying it.
