Hey folks,

I've been out of the turbo game for a few years and am very seriously thinking of replacing my 540 big block chevy in my 67 Camaro with a 3.8 Turbo GN motor.
I have a local guy selling a complete from oil pan to turbo motor for $950 and I need to know if that is a fair price or not.
I will definitely verify the block casting number is 25526109.
Also, I will pull the heads to check whether it is std., .020, etc.
Is there anything else critical to determining if this is really a 86-87 Turbo Buick motor?

I plan to look at it Saturday morning...so any advice asap will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Robert

that's good news!

I should make clear that I have no idea the condition of anything. I don't plan to use the turbo, injectors, etc. But can use them as cores.
Assuming everything is fine...I will still want to rebuild it using new internals.
So, if the motor is complete and the casting numbers match...I should go for it???

Anyone else?

Thanks,

Robert

it is an intercooler motor right? about how many miles are on it?

for $950 if you get everything, including everything from intake to oil pan including all the sensors, wiring harness and ECM you are getting a great deal. look in the parts for sale, or look on GNttype.org's trader. there are always motors going on there. or post in the parts wanted section. but, for 950, i would snatch it up
