caged ball for the end of billet input shaft?

I got my new billet input shaft in from CK..... it is one sweet piece. I have one question..... it appears there is no clearance for the caged ball on the end of the shaft.... Do I just omit this now anyway? I have typically left it in... because it tames the lockup slightly when you are running a hard locking 5-disk vigilante....

it is left out.the hole is sized for proper function.
