Do any of you guys use the California car duster on your Gn's? Does it leave fine scratches in the paint?

I have and no. It may leave some lint and parafin behind when it's new, but nothing else. If your getting scratches you may have picked up some crap, check it out.

DITTO!

my GNX with 2600 miles has never scene water ... just a Cali duster .... original owner refused to use water on the car ... he said it would rot the car out

I use a beat up looking Cali Car duster that must be near 10 years old and it still works great. So Ditto for me too

I got the fine scratches but I think I figured out why. In both my houses, the ceiling of the garage was concrete and mastic respectively. I think particles of "hard dust" were dropping on the car from walking on the floor above.

I'm sure the duster itself is fine, just be careful what fine particles you may be dragging across the paint. Probably fine for pollen or something.

My bro has a real nice kandy paintjob and thats what he uses.Leaves no scratches.Just make sure nothing gets in the duster.

Ok thanks i just figured i would ask b/c i had my gn painted about a year ago and only drive it on the weekends and just about every other weekend i have to wash it just b/c o the dust and since these cars are black i figured i would ask the pros!

Are you guys referring to the real California car duster, or the one you can get at Wal-Mart for $10?
Or are they one and the same.
